Notification on authorised operations in SEZs

NOTIFICATION

G.S.R. -(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zone Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) number S.O. 1846 (E), dated the 27th October, 2006, namely :-

In the above said notification, -

    (i) In paragraph (B),-

(a) For the heading “Sector Specific Special Economic Zones” the following heading shall be substituted, namely :- “Sector Specific Special Economic Zones including Special Economic Zones for Free Trade and Warehousing”;

(b) for item (xxx) and the entries relating there to, the following items and the entries relating thereto, shall be substituted, namely :-
“(xxx) Warehousing and Commercial operations (xxxi) Such other operations which the Board of Approval may authorize from time to time”;

    (ii) in paragraph (c), for item (xxxii) and the entries relating thereto, the following items and the entries relating thereto substituted, namely :-

“(xxxii) Warehousing and Commercial operations
(xxxiii) Such other operations which the Board of Approval may authorize from time to time.”

Note : The principal notification for notifying the authorized operations to be used by the Board of Approval while approving authorized operations in the Special Economic Zones were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide notification number S.O. 1846 (E), dated the 27th October, 2006.
